Space NK Black Friday Haul – Christmas Gifts Ideas

The Space NK promotion for Black Friday was €25 for every €100 spent and here is what I purchased:

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation
:
a lightweight foundation that gives natural coverage, which features hydrating and illuminating ingredients. I like the very liquid formula. It allows me to apply it either with a brush, or with my fingers when I am in a rush. I love the natural and slightly dewy finish that it gives to the skin. It perfects the complexion in a natural and hydrating way. I already had shade 3 Fair, and I ordered shade 1.5 Fair during the Black Friday sales, which will suit my winter pale skin tone better. Both shades are neutral in reality and not yellow as they appear on the swatches.

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Filmstar Bronze & Glow: travel size compact of the Filmstar contour/bronzer and highlighter duo in the shade Light to Medium. I bought two of them, one I will give someone for Christmas and one I will keep for myself. It is a very cute rose gold compact. The size makes it convenient to throw in a handbag for traveling.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Mini Sculpture Unlocked
: a limited-edition palette that contains an all-over face powder, a bronzer, a blush and a highlighter. Basically, you get all your face powder products in one palette, making it another travel friendly makeup item. I have been using Hourglass Ambient Lighting products (powder, bronzer, blush) for years. They are very finely milled and give a subtle and flattering glow (not sparkly) to the skin. I own one of the 6-pan limited-edition past releases and several 3-pan Ambient Lighting ones.

I really like the 4-pan format and it may be my favorite one now. The bronzer in the Edit Mini Sculpture Unlocked palette may be a bit too dark for me right now, but comes spring it will be perfect. This palette would also make a great Christmas gift for a makeup lover.

Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade
: it is a very finely milled pearlescent eye shadow. I have watched and read so many good reviews on these eyeshadows and, as I like some shimmer on my lids, I wanted to try them. I picked two of the most neutral shades, which I know I will reach for often:
Cheetah, a warm champagne
Elephant, a shimmering taupe grey.

Chantecaille Lip Veil – Supporting Space for Giants
:
the 2020 Fall limited-edition features three shades, Acacia, Plumeria and Tamarind. I already have the shade Acacia and published a dedicated review of it (here). It was difficult for me too chose when I bought Acacia, as I also wanted Plumeria. Then came the Space NK Black Friday offer and I decided to pick it up as well. This is the kind of my go-to lip shades. In addition, I love the Chantecaille Lip Veil formula, which feels very hydrating while delivering enough color. Plumeria is a very pretty soft plum rose. Acacia is darker and more of a burgundy shade.
